Day two (part 3/5) : our ukrainian mama and dinner at the twylight

After leaving the guys of the island of love,

we go to "Koza" (lit. goat) , a cool restaurant-Pub here in the city centre.

The place is just awesome: It's wooden made, walls are dark and paintings and signed photos of musicians are hanging in the wall!

Ukrainian places style is freaking cool and new to me!

Mahmoud orders “Pasta alla Carbonara”, a typical italian dish and I get very curious about it.

I order, instead, a big ice cream while Ira Batiuk phone-calls me asking where I am.

I leave the table and dive into this darkened place while talking with her in my phone.

The walls change, people pop up from their tables and I see nothing but smiles on their face and I percieve everyone (including me) is having a good time here!

Me and Ira arrange to meet later after dinner. I am happy to finally meet her!

coming back to my table after the phone call, I see something I would never expect:

Mahmoud pasta looks freaking strange and he makes a

funny face of disappointment: It's covered in cheddar and

there are sausages instead of pecorino cheese and bacon.

“It's not tasty” he says and I am kind of shocked about the way they changed our italian dish: it's the first foreign Carbonara I see! :) .

After we finished eating, we finally meet our Baituk outside the restaurant.

she has immediately a good impact on me and the three of us are really happy to know her!

She's our ukrainian mama and we are her children ready to be adopted, coriously running around her.

Here we are, in the Theatre Square and once more I am so surprised of how different she looks from her pictures like Andriy did!

“Is it a ukrainian feature?”

I do ask to myself.

Ira and I cross our own arms as the wind starts to blow stronger, Mahmoud and Mohamed joke and laugh.

It's almost the twylight and here we go, walking towards the train station, not really knowing how much this special day still has to offer!

(to be continued)
